Teaching Philosophy

I firmly believe it is the teacher’s responsibility to provide each student with the necessary tools to become an independent musician. Established honesty and trust between the teacher and student is essential for a productive learning environment. This honesty and trust should be grounded in the understanding that lessons are a collaborative experience, with responsibilities for both teacher and student.

A couple thoughts on reeds…

I believe reed making is an objective process, but I also believe it is a personal process. I wish to help each student discover their own reed needs and encourage them to make reeds that best suit those needs.
